Would Carol-Moseley Braun make a good VP nominee?

Don't get me wrong, I adore Carol, but her campaign just hasn't taken off. I'm certainly not counting her out yet, but with the great possibility that she won't win the nomination, I'm wondering what all of you think about her as the VP nominee on our ticket. I think that her being a woman and African-American and her successful career would give us a unique opportunity to energize African-Americans and other minority voters like never before. Tell me what you think below, and why you believe she would or wouldn't make a good VP pick.

He lose in Illinois was due to a smear campaign, and lazy campaigning on her part.

If she was on the VP ticket I really think it could energize women voters, and minority voters to vote Dem as well as be about -darn- time that the Dems stepped up to place someone either african american or female (the 2 most loyal divisions of Dems) on the ticket.

If we're gonna win this thing, it's because the left and middle are fed up with the felons in power now. I think Ms. Braun would energize a whole lot of voters.

However, there are plenty of Dem folks fearful of a Mondale\Ferraro redux. Remember they smeared her using her husband.

And although many on the left SAY they are willing to consider a female or a black for one of two top spots, they usually will tell you, "...just not this time."

because racists and mysoginists are still very much alive. Maybe in the next couple of generations when all the old farts are gone.

10. Hounded by scandals

She was hounded by scandals when she lost her 1998 bid for re-election to the US Senate. The GOP will happily drag all those scandals up again if/when she's VP.

I'd vote for her again for the Senate, but I don't think she'd make a good VP candidate.

was thinking the same thing. Her and Kucinich would make a great team. With their anti-Trilateralism Kucinich and Mosely-Braun would garner the Green vote I'll bet.

She would make a good president as well, but would have a rough time from the fascist folks who don't like "uppidity blankety blanks".

She is such a stark contrast to Powell and Condo.

Damn that would be cool: a black woman president or VP.
