Iran = Nuclear War
Since I've listened to Seymour Hersh in various interviews this week I can't get this out of my mind. I am overwhelmed and depressed by this idea. Is anyone else thinking about this right now?

2. Yes I feel the same....! Seymour Hersh seems to know what
he is talking about. Why don't our lawmakers see it also?

3. Me too. Only way we can afford to not have a draft.
I am very depressed about this also.

4. Israel will do the deed
Just a hunch. The US will then be a mediator between the Jews and Muslims.

5. I've been predicting this
bushie wants to use his new toy -- a mini nuke -- and he'll find an excuse (lying liar) just like he found an excuse to invade Iraq.

But he won't invade Iran -- not enough troops -- even a draft would take awhile to increase the troops.

So if he wants to bring democracy to Iran -- he'll nuke them.

Which is so stupid -- because in times of crises -- even if the younger Iranians don't like their leaders that if bushie brings them down using nukes -- the natural reaction is to stick together as a nation.

For example -- after 9-11 -- people turned to bushie (who was still as much a jerk as he was before 9-11).

6. I don't think it will happen on US soil...
a least not a missile with a warhead on it landing in New York or something like that. I can totally see Iran lobbing a nuke at Tel Aviv in retaliation for "surgical strikes". If that happens, oh boy.

7. No Iran
dont have nuke. But they do have Sunburn Missile. Likely to launch them all if attack. Missile has range to hit Europe.

They can blow up all the US camps in Iraq and all the ships in the Gulf area.

Any attack on Iran will result in very high casualty rate for US.
If US use nuke on Iran. I serious dont know what will happen.

8. If there is a nuclear war in the Middle East, the oil is gone.
Instant blackout worldwide. One way to keep the oil for future generations of people - like 2000 years in the future!

9. Too true...
Even if we do not use nuclear weapons, yet hit their nuclear power plants, they will percieve that as a nuclear attack itself. After that all bets are off, and who knows what North Korea, that last "axis of evil" will do when this happens. I could see, in a worst case scenario, losing South Korea, Israel will be devastated, and we may lose a city or two on either the west coast or Hawaii, not that the Republicans would care. The retaliation by us would be North Korea and South Korea totally gone, possibly total casualties, Genocide basically, then who knows what Russia and China will do in that situation. This is like the Cuban Missle Crisis all over again, but with Nixon in office instead.

:scared:

10. I heard him on Democracy Now this morning.
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 11:39 PM by proudbluestater
I don't recall him mentioning nuclear war with Iran at that time, but he did say something about "it's going to get real bad. Anybody with stocks, you might want to sell them and buy a house in Italy. Dollar going south." That was chilling to me@! The freaking RICH will always have a place to go, and us po' folks, average citizens will be left here in the wreckage.

If you haven't heard that interview, it's at democracynow.org. Pretty amazing stuff. How 8-9 neocons managed to take over the entire government. If it's THAT easy to take over a government, maybe we just don't have the right kind of government. The corrupt media, of course, does NOT help the situation.
