Australian Was Going to Leave Military

SYDNEY, Australia -- The mother of the first Australian to die in the Iraq war said that her son had told her the mission was becoming "very risky" and planned to leave the military this year.

"Mum, it's very risky in Baghdad, there is nowhere to hide and it is very, very dangerous," his mother, Margaret, recalls him telling her in a phone conversation.
