Poll question: how much of the true story of the bfee will our grandkids know? |
|
no history is ever completely known. but how much of the true story of bfee's misdeeds do you think will come out once they are out of power? (ok, i know this could be 1,000 years from now at the rate things are going. but assume sanity returns, and it's over in 2008.)

1. I HAVE to believe history will see the truth of the BFEE |
|
Otherwise I'd go insane, really.
Liberals write better, smarter books. The more education a person gets, supposedly, the more liberal they become. Therefore, I hope/think/pray, the historians of the future will see this mess for what it is.
I think it's possible that in 10 or 15 years we'll look back on these years as That Unbelievably Whacked-Out Time, When Criminals Took Over the Government and the Media Lied for Them.
Unless we're all living in a post-nuclear-holocaust nightmare, eating grubs.

3. The tide of ignorance will wash away the islands of sanity. |

I suspect that our grandchildren may never know the truth.
Maybe some future historians/archeologists will deduce some of it but, if the current reign continues for a further four years, I seriously doubt that the damage will be undone in less than a few generations.
The brainwashing of the masses is taking place on too many levels.
The rabid right wing continue to swallow every daily message of hate. The previously undecided middle ground, having doubts sown and so many false trails presented, are either leaning towards the official story or simply abstaining from the confusion - believing in their naive way that those who neither support nor oppose will somehow be safe whoever is in charge.
This leaves the questioners, the few with first-hand experience of the government's lies and those with the perception to see through the facade. The minority view is always the one easiest to override, to sideline and ignore (or simply crush if it becomes too troublesome).
This makes me sad, not so much for myself as for my children: they are still young but I fear they will see much more hardship and suffering before they reach my age than I did.
