Ho-mentum...are we responsible? |

How did Howard Dean do so well in the race for DNC chair? Do these delegates read DU and the other internet sites and is this a grassroots net thingy or what? (I am glad he is going to get it).

1. I think the internet played a role. |

It informed activists where the DNC Listening Sessions were, for one thing.

2. I got a call from the DNC last week begging for money |

I told them I wouldn't send them a dime unless Dean was given the chair, and I was not a Dean supporter during the primaries last year. I also ripped on the DLC influence and said that even though I have been a lifelong democrat, I am on the verge of total disillusion and that Dean was the only one I believed had the guts to take on this milquetoast centrism that has screwed us so badly in the last 3 elections. The guy said he'd been hearing that a lot. I think the Democratic base is speaking so loudly they have no choice but to listen, despite not hearing what they want to hear.
