I think Bush jumped the shark last night with his SS plan
His social security con game will be easily exposed and may bring down the Republican party in '06. Watch Republicans run from it, their rat tails waving in the air.

During his SOTU speech's in '06, '07 and '08 he will have to explain mounting US deaths and casualties in Iraq. He will have to explain why he did nothing about rapidly escalating, crushing health care costs during his term. Why he did nothing about run away budget deficits caused by tax cuts to the rich.

Yeah...he peaked last night. Pulled out all the stops. But when all you have to sell is a skunk in a burlap bag, sooner or later people figure out your goods just don't pass the sniff test.

2. Yes, but behind the smokescreen of the SS plan
Bushco is pulling employer-provided health insurance out from under the American worker. The cheering he got when he mentioned changing this was creepy. The Repugs knew what was going on and they were loving it.

3. Yes this is true.
"The Repugs knew what was going on and they were loving it." The day will come for them to reap what the sow.

7. Avoiding Responibility -- this is the basic theme
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 09:28 AM by SpiralHawk
for Bush, BushCo and the corporations that are the web of support.

Bush accepts responsibility for nothing.

His SS plan is one more strategy for avoiding responsibility for our elders.

And his "tort reform" plan is about allowing corporations to avoid responsibility.

I think we have a pattern here.

Republicans = Irresponible

4. Totally Agree
Although I also think we all need to do our part to let our neighbors, even conservatives, know what is going on. The only people who would be behind this plan if it were explained cleary are libertarian types who think there should be no government.

If they say, "Well Personal accounts might be a good idea." You might reply that they might be, if they were instituted as a program on top of Social Security as opposed to being enacted to replace Social Security.

5. With Diebold counting the votes, I don't think the MePublicans
have to worry about anything bush** or they do that destroys the working class and poor. Why else would they be so willing to take the political risk that backing bush**'s evil agenda is for them?
