The Dems who approved the Torture AG
Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut,
Ken Salazar of Colorado,
Mary Landrieu of Louisiana,
Bill Nelson of Florida,
Ben Nelson of Nebraska
Mark Pryor of Arkansas

We're getting there, hopefully they wise up before some real bills are voted on.

6. According to Reports
Not one single Republican voted no on the Inquisitor Generals nomination, to include John McCain a recipient of torture at the hands of his North Vietnamese captors.

But as long as they were not trying to cause organ failure, it really wasn't torture.

8. Are these all of the Dems who approved Gonzalez?
I am very disappointed in Ken for this. That is all I will say. I worked on his campaign, I had come to respect him while doing that but I am disappointed now about this.

the much-touted 'third way'. They won't wise up; they were voting along their new party line. :puke:

18. This is frightening.
I didn't know the "new-Democrat" thing had hardened into a voting bloc.

Atrocious.

Hello, why not just join the Republican party?? They're the "winners" right?

If you support torture, you are NOT a Democrat.

as someone on another thread pointed out. Hadn't thought of it as a voting bloc, but you're right. Disgusting and frightening.

16. This is truly disturbing.
The past couple of days I've been barely able to turn on the tube because I'm getting so depressed over the direction of this country. What on earth are the people thinking who vote in favor of a person who views the Geneva Conventions as "quaint."

22. There is NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 06:58 PM by ultraist
There is no excuse for this esp. for Lieberman who is in freakin' CT. At least the Senators from the more conservative states of Louisiana, Nebraska, & Arkansas have some justification for pandering to their conservative constituency. Even so, they should NOT have voted for a torturer.

LIEBERMAN better not go Repuke on Social Security *reform*
