upset with Joe Lieberman for voting for Alberto Gonzales.

No reason Lieberman had to vote for him.

7. As a Yankee Nutmegger, I'd love to vote that fucker out of office!
Unfortunately, in the 2000 election, Lieberman's opponent was the ultra-corrupt mayor of Waterbury, Phillip Giordano, who's now serving time in prison for sex with two 10-year-old girls. I ended up not voting for a senator in 2000!

There's talk in my state about running a liberal (or at least a human being!) against Holy Joe in '06, but considering how much federal money he brings into Connecticut, I wouldn't count on his being defeated next year. :(

8. There is movement afoot. There will be a primary.
But it's tough to run against the entrenched power base. Connecticut liberals are starting to put things in motion though and we will need your support.

Start working now, wherever you live. Please get involved (if you're not) beyond the discussion boards and make a difference. Some of us in CT will do all we can to replace him with a true progressive.

14. Well I live much further South than you
but I'll send money to any Dem (real Dem) who wants to mount a challenge to this SOB in a primary - I CAN NOT STAND HOLY JOE

Let me tell you a funny story about Holy Joe, I have a "friend" who is a repunk, and he didn't especialy like the little Shrub and he was lamenting to me if only the Democrats had put up such an extremist like John Kerry - he would vote for a Dem....so I asked well which Dem could you vote for - and you guessed it boys and girls he said Joe Lieberman - and I roared with laughter - and my "friend" didn't get what was so funny - but sadly I did.

9. he's got 70% of CT vote
Dems & Pubs. No, there was no reason for him to make that vote except that's the way he really thinks.

The others, Landrieu, Salazar, Pryor, etc., aren't in the same situation.

Unusual to find one in Connecticut though, they usually range much further south.

11. OK, CT folks--let's come up with a plan--if you are doing something
specific already, right now--let us know so we can join in. I think we've got to speak out loud and clear to the state dems and do it as loudly, effectively, and quickly as possible. I can make my phone calls and write my letters, but it would be helpful to know who else is doing that, what kinds of messages the "leadership" is likely to "hear," if someone has a lead on that sort of thing. Also, I know there are active groups of liberals around the state, but except for one in my area, I don't know who they are or what they are doing. Anyone have a round-up of groups to work with? Joe's gotta go. We need to make an example of him.

13. DFA meetups may be a place to start.
Lot's of progressive dems who want someone with a clue. There are a number of active DFA groups starting to organize for 06 and 08.

12. Yes, Let's
hang Lieberman.

If Bush had not stolen the 2000 election he'd have been VP

Get down on Lieberman now to make room for a nice rethug candidate.
