2. LOL
Actually, except for the part where he said Bush is an honorable man (who's he trying to kid?!?!?!?), he was pretty darn good at defending overtime pay.

5. The honorable man remark was obiously annoying
But it's politics, and the tradition of the Senate. Biden did a wonderful job bashing the repukes, he is overall a very good dem. Keep in mind as ranking memebr of foreign relations he has to try and sort out a mess in Iraq, and can't let presidential politics get in the way. He is worried about our fighting men and women. So he may make some anooying comments like "forgetr about WMD," but understand he has an important job to do.

6. a tradition of the senate?
Would be interesting to see which (if any) republican senators followed that particular tradition during Clinton's presidency. was it Helms - who within the first year threatened Clinton with being shot if he came to visit North Carolina? Oh that old traditionalist Jesse....

Nope, Biden doesn't get a pass on all of his recent praises on honorable Bush - especially when he is privvy to how dishonorable Bush is in his presentations to Congress, in his lies to the public, in his policies that make America LESS safe, etc.

7. Actually Snowe, Specter, and Collins
voted against impeachment. They are Republicans King of NY is a Conservative Republican who voted against impeachment, along with some in the house.

8. but did they always refer to Clinton as an honorable man?
Big difference between getting fed up with the house managers and their senate colleagues for going to far - vs - always refering to the president as "honorable" - not in a title (as how one would address a letter) but as an adjective.

9. It has always been a tradition to speak politely in the Senate
Of other politicians, are we suppoused to follow the lead of Jesse Helms? The Senate is for polite debate, the campaign trail is for personal attacks.
