Ever wish there was a third-party the Republicans had to worry about? |
|
We have to worry about Nader. But I wish there was a vote-splitting right-wing third-party that could steal votes from the Repukes so we, the Democrats, can regain a majority. Does that make sense?

2. You are so right. I think Perot was a Bush plant to split the opposition. |

Honestly though, the sound of Perot's voice sends me running for the hills. What's he up to?? Is he still alive?

The Constitution Party should scare the hell out of the pukes. 100% pro-life, anti-gay, pro-gun, small government, etc. About a month before the election, Peroutka was polling higher than Badnarik. Whenever I came across a pro-life fundie who wasn't completely sold on Bush, and hated Kerry, I would tell them about Peroutka. I talked a couple people into switching their vote from Bush to Peroutka. I checked out a right-wing Catholic message board this fall and was amazed at how much support Peroutka was getting from the hard-core pro-lifers that didn't approve of the Bush war policies.

There is the American Patroit Party that think Democrats and Republicians are both corrupt and ruined the laws. They have no national commitee but with some work, it may happen.

Some Democrats need to "defect" and help build up a conservative candidate who could challenge the Republicans. There isn't really an equivilant to Nader for the Republicans now, but one could really come in handy. Possibilities would include a prominent white supremacist in order to take away southern votes, a prominent Evangelical to take away "moral values" votes, or possibly an important Nascar racer.

10. Agreed, but it has to be a whole new party. |
|
I think it's time for a fundamentalist political party that espouses the things we loathe most about Republicans.
I'm betting it would be wildly popular with about 30% of them.
