US Troops withdraw from Fallujah - |
|
Since tensions have been high since the 'massacre' of a few weeks ago, the Americans have withdrawn from the police station and other government offices to hand over governance to the Iraqi police and officials. The US says they will keep a few troops at the police station to monitor the affairs. Is this a retreat or is this the first step in permitting the Iraqis to govern themselves? Granted, Fallujah is an exception because of the strong resistance of the people because of the events that have taken place in that town. Would you call this a retreat or just a strategic withdrawal?

We will lie low using our soldiers as bait, allow the enemy to regroup so that we can kill them all at once with a smart bomb. <sarcasm>
