17. And here are the lyrics...
There are Jews in the world.
There are Buddhists.
There are Hindus and Mormons, and then
There are those that follow Mohammed, but
I've never been one of them.

I'm a Roman Catholic,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Catholics is:
They'll take you as soon as you're warm.

You don't have to be a six-footer.
You don't have to have a great brain.
You don't have to have any clothes on. You're
A Catholic the moment Dad came,

Because

Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

GIRL:
Let the heathen spill theirs
On the dusty ground.
God shall make them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is wanted.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.

MUM:
Hindu, Taoist, Mormon,
Spill theirs just anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
Semen with more care.

MEN:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
WOMEN:
If a sperm is wasted,...
CHILDREN:
...God get quite irate.

PRIEST:
Every sperm is sacred.
BRIDE and GROOM:
Every sperm is good.
NANNIES:
Every sperm is needed...
CARDINALS:
...In your neighbourhood!

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is useful.
Every sperm is fine.
FUNERAL CORTEGE:
God needs everybody's.
MOURNER #1:
Mine!
MOURNER #2:
And mine!
CORPSE:
And mine!

NUN:
Let the Pagan spill theirs
O'er mountain, hill, and plain.
HOLY STATUES:
God shall strike them down for
Each sperm that's spilt in vain.

EVERYONE:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.

Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite iraaaaaate!

Precious bodily fluids and whatnot? Life may be sacred but not sperm or egg.

10. Chicken and Egg Biscuit at Hardee's
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 09:45 PM by Hissyspit
You can get them here in the south. I went in to order one and there was some high school student taking my order. I ordered a chicken bisquit and she said "Would you like egg on that?" I said sure and then asked her with a straight face, "Now, will they put the egg on the bisquit first or the chicken first?"

She said "You can get it either way." Vvvp. Right over her head. Oh, well. At least I amuse myself.

12. Sorry guys, you're not needed. Article in the NYT in the early 70's
pointed out that at this time in science, two eggs can have their DNA combined into one and produce a child. They will all be girls. Now you may wonder why this wasn't a big issue then or now. Because it puts men in the almost totally usless column.

You can make babies with two eggs. Can't do much of anything with a million sperm by themselves.

16. Well, theoretically, I suppose
But we still don't know what the process is that creates a barrier when one sperm penetrates the egg, and we still don't know what the process is that causes the whole business to first combine and then start dividing.

So I guess we'll have to keep you guys around until we do...

23. True
Plus cloning. Men realize they can be phased out. I think that is why we are stuck with Bush, because certain men want to assert dominance instead of appeasing women. Certainly though, the men who take the appeasing women route can stick around forever in my opinion, just because I like kind, respectful men.

13. I dont consider either to be sacred, but eggs are definately more valuable
as they are a finite resource in every women, while sperm can keep being produced.

15. OK, Jack,
You have it exactly right! The woman produces one egg every month (usually) while the man pours out millions of sperm whenever.

18. ANOTHER GREAT DISTRACTION TOPIC
Capitalism only works with a responsible public that has some real sense about the financial responsiblities about our government.

What's that sound?
It's the sound of money rushing out of the middle and lower classes to the upper class.
It is the sound of the country going bankrupt.

While this is admittedly a thread-jack, I do hope that the DU moderators understand why.

topics?
The freepers got us under their sites with abortion, gun control, and a number of other issues that effectively got the masses thinking that fish wrapper issues are what politics are all about.

They dumb the public down, then after the dust settles...they walk off with the bucks.

The massive dumbing down continues.....

22. "fish wrapper issues": that's a great term! It's either...
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 11:15 PM by Wrinkle_In_Time
... a wrapper to conceal the real issues or shiny lures to divert attention. There also seem to be predatory fish that camouflage themselves as friendly fish, but lead you away from the school.

Look out for the hook.

OK: my fish/fishing metaphors are now exhausted.

Now, back to that "budget"...

25. Neither is sacred and this is an idiotic question.
Abortion is here to stay no matter how many idiotic angles you try to take through the back door to outlaw it.

I didn't vote in this poll because there was no option for "neither."
