Forgive me if this has been posted. I can't begin to read all the threads here, but I know that someone was looking for information on Jeff Gannon last night.

Let me say again, holy crap.

The blogosphere has dug up some really really really creepy stuff about that pseudo-reporter with the pseudonym who the White House lets ask all the softball questions about their briefings. His pseudonym is Jeff Gannon, and well, the folks at DailyKos, and Eschaton, have been doing a little digging around on him.

It's a long and sordid tale, but let me give it to you in a nutshell. Mr. Gannon's home page is JeffGannon.com. Well, JeffGannon.com is owned by a person and company that owns the following Web addresses as well:

And for those of you who are really straight or really clueless, "m4m" is a gay online term for men who are looking to have sex with other men, and "escort" means prostitute. And being a military escort is also against the Uniform Code of Military Justice in at least two different ways, if not more.

Now, I'm not one to judge how folks like to get their jollies (assuming no children are involved and it's consensual), but then again, I don't suck up to the family values agenda like Mr. Gannon does. I've been through Gannon's archives, and it's a horrendous accumulation of religious right suck-up pieces on gay issues. Some are concerned that perhaps it's not fair to hit him with the gay card, if he is gay. Well, take a look at some of the stories from Gannon's Talon News Service: here, here, here Talon is promoting "ex-gays," defending Bush on gay marriage, and Gannon himself writing a story defending Santorum on his man-dog-sex commments about gays. There are lots more, you get the picture.

Recently there has been a buzz over the shadowy “Jeff Gannon” and the shadowy “Talon News Agency”. Why does “Gannon” use a pseudonym and why does he have to get a temporary press pass every day rather than being given a permanent pass?

One fact that is readily available is that “Gannon” has many web domains registered. Some under the (presumably fake name) “I. Christian” for the “Free Speech Foundation”, some under “J. Daniels” (“Jack Daniels”?) for the “Bedrock Corporation", and some with registration that have been recently transferred from the latter to the former. Of particular note are these Bedrock domains

People in the know have commented that the last three are recognizably “gay coded” names – places either to find gay pornography or arrange male “dates” by showing "cute" pictures. For example “m4m” means “men for men” as a Google search shows.

Finding info about “Bedrock Corporation” has not been simple. It seems to exist from a rented mailbox in Delaware. Further search found an address for a single-family home associated with a "Jim Guckert" aka "James Dale Guckert". This name ties in with a Yahoo Web page for jdg17 in which he claims membership in the TKE fraternity of West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Since “Jeff Gannon” claimed he graduated from the U of Pennsylvania “system” this is some confirmation that “Guckert” may be “Gannon”. As is the strong resemblance of a guy in this photo from a WCU TKE alumni party to “Gannon”.

This article has been in two parts. First “Gannon”s web sites are registered by the same company that has registered gay oriented websites and the total number of sites is not large. Either “Gannon” is “I. Christian” and “Jack Daniels” and is responsible for everything, or he associates with the wrong people and is too stupid to discover anything wrong about them.

The second half is more speculative. Is “Gannon” really “Guckert” and “jdg17”? Occam's razor says they are, and I think so. jdg17's portrait is definitely a cry for homosexual "love".

"Jeff Gannon" has been contacted and has not denied any of these interpretations. Maybe after this article is published he will have something to say.
