1. Where would the neocons go if they destroy the Republican Party?
Back to the Democratic Party, pretty much where they came from?

4. Most neocons from what i've read were Democrats - liberal hawks like Perle
Actually, if you look farther back, most of them were Trotskities, like Irving Kristal, Bill Kristal's dad (editor of Weekly Standard and head of PNAC).

7. He's right. The original Neo-cons were campus socialists
Then they "got religion" or whatever they call it.

18. Scoop Jackson was a Senator from Washington state
& not a Dixiecrat.

Another Dem neocon...Jeanne Kirpatrick, who worked for Reagan & other Republicans.

3.  We can only hope
that they go so far over the top and lie so much that even their blind sheep will finally see. This might sound mean but I come from a state that is very Republican and has a lot of agriculture. I'm hoping the proposed cuts to farm subsidies makes an impact. I've never understood why any working class people support the GOP.

10. I believe the Republican Party is planting the "neoCON' seeds,...
,...of destruction.

The neoCONspirators ARE THE SEEDS OF DESTRUCTION.

The Republicans planted them in anticipation of a huge harvest.

They counted their eggs on a fox dressed in hen's clothing.

That's what they get for being MEpublicans.

I'll still have compassion for them,...but will certainly prioritize who I PROTECT in the very difficult days ahead. Those who did a "for us or against us" are definitely on the BOTTOM of my list.

13. Oh yes
Can see it already, as they start to turn on the moderates & old-style republicans who... gasp... dare to criticize the Bush presidency. Last time I listened to Rush (which I do occasionally, having a slight masochistic streak) he was p*ssing and moaning about the former bush cabinet member who wrote "Its my party too" saying "if you love them so much then go join them." Dumping on the poor woman with a nastiness once reserved only for feminazis and clintonistas.

20 years ago they wouldve had the Rooskies to blame for the ills of the world, 10 years ago they had Clinton/ liberals. NOw, whatta they got? With their either-or, winner-take-all mentality and rejection of core liberal values of diversity, tolerance, & collaborative process, they wont be able to tolerate or integrate the inevitable eventual dissent, and the whole thing will eventually implode. I have no doubt that eventually the "center" will wake from its trance and see that theyve been had. The problem of course is that it could take awhile, and the damage done in the meantime will be great, maybe even irreversible.
