Olbermann's Blog exposing Bill O'Reilly's "creative" writing

Time to punt, Bill (Keith Olbermann)

SECAUCUS — For those of you familiar with the kids’ football challenge, “Punt, Pass, and Kick,” we long ago saw Bill O’Reilly’s passing (ask Andrea Mackris). Sunday we learned about his punting (in a rather exaggerated essay in the official Super Bowl program). And now we’re seeing him kick.

Typical to the commemorative programs for the big sporting events, O’Reilly was asked to write the ‘end piece’ to the Super Bowl 39 edition. Dan Rather penned one for Super Bowl 38, and even I’ve done them for Baseball’s All-Star Game Program and annual official “yearbooks.” But only O’Reilly could turn one of these brief “Why I Love This Sport” venues into a means of shameless self-promotion.

He waxed poetic about the inspiration provided by his own football career at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, observing that he learned much from having one of his punts land behind his own line of scrimmage (one could argue that what he learned was to see everything backwards). He added, “I won the national punting title for my division as a senior,” and concluded, “I guess you could say the end zone was the beginning of the no-spin zone.”

Ah, but in recounting his collegiate football experience, Mr. O’Reilly has done a little spinning of his own.

2. I just read that on Olbermans blog
As usual, O'lielly is a pompous, self promoting, airbag.

The saddest thing is, my wife's maiden name is O'Reilly. Can we sue for damages?

3. It's amazing that there is even one worthwhile newsman let alone two.
Olbermann and Jon Stewart.

4. Olbermann was great on Franken's show today.
They made mincemeat of O'Reilly and laughed at him. Great show today.

6. Bill O'reilly is a pompous ass, a pervert and a legend in his own mind.
Why so many can't see through his bs is a mystery.

8. That goes for all of Fox/Bushco News
I guess people who can't see BS for BS sakes are doomed to watch Faux News, listen to Rushbo, and treasure W.

7. C'mon Mr. Lufah...
O'Reilly's gotta be doing a Wallace Beery slow-burn when he sees this stuff.

Here's a competitor taking shots at him almost nightly and he can't respond. You know he's gotta be sitting in his little room at night with his fallafel and cursing Olbermann and Franken and all those evil "libruls" and pinheads.

While O'Reilly is an egotist, he's not a fool...at least a two-time one. LOL. He dares to blast Olbermann and his viewers are gonna wonder "what's this Olbermann guy about" and thousands of dials flip across the cable spectrum. Actually I don't think it's O'Reilly's call on this...methinks Rupert's got him on a tight leash these days.

9. And his wife has him on the couch
It couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

Michael Savage is also still after him.

What I get a good laugh about is that he still has fans and is selling his books for "kids" to a bunch of conservatives.

12. Unfortunately These Numbers Don't Lie
For whatever conveluted reason, the guy doubles the viewership of both Zahn on CNNservative and Olbermann on MSNBC (Keith's on the rise, Zahn...like CNNservative...is tanking). Maybe 1/2 of those 2,000,000 sets of eyes are there to see what goofy thing the guy will do...or just has it on for noise, but there's still an audience that watches this guy.

What is misleading is 2,000,000 viewers nationally is not a lot of people. It's far less than those tuned into MTV or ESPN or the major networks. But in that small rat race known as cable news...and it's power inside the beltway...this dude is still a force to deal with.

I doubt we'll ever see an O'Reilly or Weiner/Savage go completely away...just minimalized as their bile and "outrage" is replaced by the reality of a nation waking up from a long slumber...and refuting these hate mongers just as the corporate media is attempting to silence our voices now.

13. And tonight's Law & Order case is the murder of a "pompous" talk show host
who settled a sexual harassment case filed by a former employee who had him on tape. No mention of loofahs or falafels that I recall though. LOL.
