So. Our PRESIDENT withheld this 9/11 information until after the election?
What will it take for the public at large to realize what a horrible man he is?

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/10/politics/10terror.html?pagewanted=1&ei=5094&en=50d329a477de39c5&hp&ex=1108011600&oref=login&partner=homepage

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 - In the months before the Sept. 11 attacks, federal aviation officials reviewed dozens of intelligence reports that warned about Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, some of which specifically discussed airline hijackings and suicide operations, according to a previously undisclosed report from the 9/11 commission....

The Bush administration has blocked the public release of the full, classified version of the report for more than five months, officials said, much to the frustration of former commission members who say it provides a critical understanding of the failures of the civil aviation system. The administration provided both the classified report and a declassified, 120-page version to the National Archives two weeks ago and, even with heavy redactions in some areas, the declassified version provides the firmest evidence to date about the warnings that aviation officials received concerning the threat of an attack on airliners and the failure to take steps to deter it.

Among other things, the report says that leaders of the F.A.A. received 52 intelligence reports from their security branch that mentioned Mr. Bin Laden or Al Qaeda from April to Sept. 10, 2001. That represented half of all the intelligence summaries in that time...

Several former commissioners and staff members said they were upset and disappointed by the administration's refusal to release the full report publicly. "Our intention was to make as much information available to the public as soon as possible," said Richard Ben-Veniste, a former Sept. 11 commission member.

9. noteworthy excerpt:

> The F.A.A. "had indeed considered the possibility that terrorists
> would hijack a plane and use it as a weapon," and in 2001 it
> distributed a CD-ROM presentation to airlines and airports that cited
> the possibility of a suicide hijacking, the report said.

Or, to put it another way: Condoleeza Rice committed perjury.

13. Man,
Too bad Condoleeza Rice didn't commit the perjury regarding 9/11 in a court of law. Her lying self would be in one of our finer ladies' correctional facilities.

...that there are some who get their knickers in a real wicket over lying to Congress, the American people, and the world. Or at least they did when it didn't involve thousands of needless deaths.

18. That 57% approval rating is really tainted.... see below...
Gallup used a very biased weighting...

39% Republican, 35% Independent and 28% Democrat...

NBC/WSJ typically uses this...

39% Republican, 39% Democrat and 22% Independent

CBS/NYT ...

31% Republican, 34% Democrat, 35% Independent

Pew...

30% Republican, 33% Democrat, 37% Independent

ABC/WP...

27% Republican, 38% Democrat, 35% Independent

Notice Gallup's HUGE bias?

14. Ben-Veniste, you spineless piece of scheist!
"Several former commissioners and staff members said they were upset and disappointed by the administration's refusal to release the full report publicly. "Our intention was to make as much information available to the public as soon as possible," said Richard Ben-Veniste, a former Sept. 11 commission member."

If you knew this, why did you not reveal it? Your responsibility is to the American people, not to the pResident.

21. But, WHY Did They Accept This Oath?
I can see that they might be ASKED to maintain secrecy. I can't see why someone like RBV would have agreed to keep secret something this important.

And besides, what were they going to do? Prosecute him for revealing that they had this information? His defense would be so simple. He thought the American people, in a gov't by the governed should know.

There is something about this that is very stinky.

Of the Warren Commission. The magic man in the cave theory.
W and his brothers and pop are involved and you can take that to the bank. Yeah, lets hold information from the public until after the elections. I suppose they couldn't stuff the ballot boxes enough.

19. Kick
Because everyone needs to read this and be aware of this. I would send this to my senators, but who is one of my senators? Pat Roberts. Hahahahahaha. ABC is covering this on their overnight news program with one of their repeating headlines. I so remember Condi saying no one ever dreamed they would use planes. What did they know and when did they know it? I suppose 52 warnings were "historical". :grr:

20. I think we can add to the theories of...
let it happen and made it happen with...helped it to happen. The terrorist attacks were genuine and obviously the warnings ignored but to make sure the towers fell when the planes hit we set the professional charges to make sure there was no repairing the towers. follow the money to find the motivations. <tin foil hat off now>

22. Get this story out in your local newspapers with lots of LTTEs
We can not let these evil people take over our country with their lies and deceptions.

This means that Bush and CO. (neocons) decided to invade two nations, kill thousands of innocent people, cause the deaths of over a thousand US soldiers, and destroy the infrastructure of the cradle of civilization, and run up astronomical debt of our children all because of a terrorist action that MIGHT HAVE BEEN PREVENTED had the Bishcos been doing their job instead of trying to UNDO everything Clinton had done, including the ME peace process?

23. Doesn't this at least prove LIHOP?
I mean, they had the intel which, according to the 9/11 report, basically spelled out EXACTLY what al Qaeda's intentions were. They could've issued warnings to the FAA and the airlines AT THE VERY LEAST!

They knew what would happen and, more importantly, what would be the result of such a horrific attack on dipshit's pResidency. They LET IT HAPPEN ON PURPOSE!!!!:grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr:

To think, American citizens voted for this traitorous cabal. I'd like to stick a copy of this story on every windshield of every car still sporting a Bush/Cheney sticker...:grr:
