Updated: Drudge "reports" on Gannon: It's a google search.
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 07:41 AM by The Backlash Cometh
Thread updated to reveal news that Drudge did "report" on Gannon. But when you follow the link, it's a Google search. He googled:

"conservative reporter who asked President Bush a loaded question at a news conference last"

1. No Blast-fax from the GOP on it. Ergo, no Drudge story on it.
How about a Drudge Report Boycott instead?

3. Au contraire. I'm only going to take a peek to confirm that Drudge
is not reporting this information. Because, you see, if he doesn't, then Hillary Clinton was right and there was a right-wing conspiracy in the 90s and, IMO, Drudge was a pivotal part of it. All he had to do was print something, and the right-wingers at Fox would report it. From there, ABC and NBC and CBS felt compelled to follow suit.

11. Confirmatino of that right wing conspiracy already exists,
They came out of the closet in '97 as the PNAC.

8. How pathetic! It's just a link to something that was Googled.
This is what he googled:

"conservative reporter who asked President Bush a loaded question at a news conference last"

What was the loaded question?

5. Calling Drudge, calling Drudge
I'm going to send Drudge an e-mail, asking why he isn't covering the "Jeff Gannon" story. Bet I won't get a response.

6. Drudge has to get his orders from the WH and Rush.
then he will report what they tell him. They haven't quite decided how to spin this yet. I assume they are trying to did up one little error by KOS and then they will jump on that to try to discredit the entire story.

9. I kind of wonder if WA Post's lawyers told him not to link to them
I can't think of why he'd do that google thing... I've noticed that on a few stories. You'd think all the image hotlinking he does from Yahoo they'd warn him too.

10. Why wouldn't the WP want to be linked?
I noticed he linked to another paper in another section.

Is there a protocol on these things?

15. what if WaPo shut that link down in the middle of the night
replacing it with the search page? Becasue that seems really weird. Maybe they did it and didn't even tell Drudge. No they must have told him, becasue the later blurb about Jeff resigning appears.

14. interesting. WaPo has been out front protecting Gannon
like a valued asset. (see transcript of Howie Kurtz on Blitzer yesterday)

However, they sent Milbank on KO last night and he really blasted the guy and distanced WaPo.

Wonder why? Gotta be the Plame thing somehow. WaP's other boiy, Novak, is also receiving "special treatment" becasue of that.

Operation Mockingbird never ended.
