Let's keep things straight here. Gannon is a tool of Talon. Talon is a tool of the GOP--of the very sordid underbelly of the GOP, the one that has its hands in every filthy scandal from Iran/Contra, through Impeachment, to Plamegate--and even in the Rodney King affair--courtesy of the sleazebag Eberle brothers, Bobby and Bruce. If you want to keep your eye on the prize, keep your eye on the Eberles. Gannon/Guckert is fuckert. But Talon lives to propagandize another day. If we let them.

First and foremost this has nothing to do with being gay.

This has to do with the hypocrisy of being antigay and then finding out that you were possibly gay all along. Jeff Gannon was very vocal about Bush's Marriage Amendment and anti-gay rhetoric. Now we find out that he might have been gay or at least promoting gay websites.

It's the hypocrisy and I feel Jeff Gannon is as equally responsible as Talon news. Gannon was the one who said "Bring it On" to the the bloggers, DU and Media Matters. This is karma and he ass just got bit big time by it

But the crux of this whole Gannongate scandal is that this no-nothing robot got access to the WH press room just so the Bushists could have a tool for propagandizing the unwashed winger masses. It's a slightly more subtle but vastly more important issue, the contempt the Bushists have for the first amendment. And it is really underscored by the number of times they criminally use the press (through bribes paid for with public tax dollars) to attack political opponents or push their agenda.
