Well...Now I am sure Bush* will sidestep the Uranium
lie non-issue. When my sister says to me...

"He cannot be expected to take the blame for what the CIA told him was the truth". Now granted this is coming from a woman who has her head buried so far up Bush* rectum she cannot see daylight other than the daylight shining out his arse.. But still it is very disheartening to see everyone fawning over him and saying thats ok georgie...you were misled...That is the only reason you misled the country. Is it time to leave the country yet?

<bangs head against desk> ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!

1. Protect the Prez at all cost...
Because he's the one who will be "re-elected" and we'll all be able to keep our jobs...

Reagan knew nothing either...it was that dastardly North and Poindexter on their own, Reagan knew nothing.

Same with Nixon, he knew nothing...

2. Hardcore Bush supporters are hopeless
I know it's frustrating, but they'll back him no matter what, so I wouldn't be too upset. They don't make up anywhere near a majority of voters (the most recent ABC/Wash. Post poll had his strong approval rating at just 35 percent). Keep the faith!

Mind you, the three in question range from mindless ideologue to fairly standard sane conservative, but:

their collective judgment was that the President must rely on experts to tell the truth and give him the best info. It isn't that the boy king is stupid, this could happen to anyone. However...the one of the three that isn't completely nuts can't figure out why Tenet still has a job. It makes no sense to him and obviously bothers him. The worst of the trio, fox-watching-drone, says that this is proof of what a good forgiving man his boy is....

So, I'm thinking that most people WILL say...well the Prez has to trust his experts! The bright spot is that most can't figure out why heads aren't rolling and there is where the cracks might show up in the general support. The hardcore loons would stick with him if he shot puppies for fun.

or swing voters? Still, it's interesting to hear their take on it.

6. I've had the opposite experience lately
While waiting for my car to be serviced, I had a very positive conversation with a woman who said she had always voted republican and had initially supported the war but had become convinced that it was only about oil. She had not only changed her mind about Bush but had become virulently opposed to him. The conversation started when I told her that I had changed the TV channel in the waiting room from Fox to C-span. She expressed no opinion on that so I don't think that she spends much time watching TV. By the way, I think we all ought to change the TV channel in every waiting room we can. It is VERY satisfying.

8. Why are you surprised at her reaction?
That's the reaction I hear from 80% of the people I know. This is simple. The majority of Americans believe that Bush is an honest man. Don't take my word for it . . . look at the polls. So, the challenge for us is to prove he is not honest. The way to do that is to provide compelling evidence that someone in the CIA told him the Niger document was forged before the SOTU address.

Well . . . "got proof"?? If not, DO NOT BE SURPRISED when the majority of Americans agree with your sister.

As for me, I'm banking on a centrist dem with appeal across the middle of America to send Bush's ass back to Texas. But good luck on the Niger scandal.

Gore in '04.

...before bombing the 'aspirin factory'?

- There's an ugly double-standard here that needs to be exposed.

15. Please show me the poll to which you refer.
The poll that says the majority of Americans believe that Bush* is an honest man. I've never seen that poll.

My mother, who lives in Florida and was a die-hard Bush* supporter, now thinks there is something not quite right about the guy. I guess the 80% depends upon who you spend time talking with.

11. He could be caught having sex with the Family dog & these core cult
members would still think the Sun Shines out of his ass.

Don't let this get to you, It's the middle ground people we need on

our side they are starting to pay attention & they really don't like

what they see. There are individuals in the USA with far more Power

than Karl Rove or the Moron he serves & for what ever reason they

have decided the Shrub has got to go. So go he will, the Media is

turning on them big time the Shit Storm is just getting started.

The hardcore Rethugs will cling in desperation to this human shit pile

but that's to be expected from people who would not no independent

thought if it kicked them in the head. PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE ZOMBIE

FOLLOWERS it's all about the great mass of people in the middle.

Bush is in deep on this one ,they all are, Rove is not invincible

& this is the absolute Worst president in the History of the USA

Everyone in the World knows it. Were just waiting for enough Americans

to realize it & now finally after almost 3 years of this shit the

media is Criticizing this criminal administration.

Don't loose hope so quickly it's time to send e-mails & letters to

your local papers, congressmen/women & call in to shows let them no

how you feel & demand action. I could hear the fear in shrubs voice

when he was asked about the Niger Lie in Africa Yesterday he sounded

desperate & unconvincing in his lame answers.

I guess as Bush would say I'm one of those "Skepticists" yes he

really did use this word he is a fool pretending to be something he

never has been or will be, The President Of The United States !

12. Yep, bloom is off the rose...
...the hardcore supporters will support him because he is the avatar of the GOP at the moment. The rest are falling away like flies. TWO instances of 'bad intel'/'not connecting dots', THREE instances of stopping the counting of votes when it was clear it wasn't going their way. Casual observers (non-political non-partisan) sorts are more inclined to listen without dismissing all criticism of shrub as partisan...

Check out post #43 by Safi. Although our dems and press are braindead, it will be almost impossible for them to finesse this one (sorry I had to add the word "almost").

Also, take a break from this politics garbage for a few days and regroup. You work too hard. Their mission is to exhaust the opposition with their ever escalating bullsh*t and this is the only thing they do very well.
