3. thousands thousands thousands |
|
I wonder how many actually died? These were murderous acts, criminal acts!
We lost about 250 soldiers so far. That's a drop in the bucket to thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians that were murdered!
Get over it? HELL NO!

If you don't want Bush to be able to pull this on *yet another* country, you're going to sometimes have to hold your nose and make concessions to reality.
The fact is that most Americans *don't* care about the thousands (or tens of thousands) of innocent Iraqis that Bush and his gang just murdered. Welcome to America, circa GWB.
That being the case, I'm going to hit Bush and his gang of lying bastards where it *does* hurt them, and I'm going to do it as hard as I can and as often as I can. If that means that I have to focus on one group of war dead vs. another group of war dead, then so be it. I'll take small comfort in the fact that this may help save a few thousand more innocent people from being added to Mr. Bush's death toll, whatever their nation of origin may be.

8. "hold your nose and make concessions to reality"?..... |
|
....Isn't that how we got here in the first place?
That may work for you but I'm not ready to give up on the 'all men are created equal' part just yet! JMHO! :)
I refuse to surrender 1 inch to their wrong headed thinking! That attitude is both unpatriotic and un-American!
"Enough of this shit.".....Indeed!

11. Hey, I've got an idea : |
|
Let's give up on fighting the Bushies and just start squabbling over a word here and a word there while gazing perpetually into our navels.
Yeah, that's the ticket ... :eyes:
Seriously : enough of this. Say it however you want. But stop trying to divide your fellow resisters by fomenting arguments and suspicions over such minutia.

12. "fomenting arguments and suspicions over such minutia"? |
|
....that's your opinion! :)
The last I checked this is a political discussion forum not a 'RAH RAH' left wing ditto head blog. :(
Two points before I go back to 'gazing perpetually into my navel'.
Point 1, What you refer to as "squabbling over a word here and a word there" is, IMHO, to deny the humanity of the thousands of innocent, non military people who have died so far and who are in fact still dying every day.
"If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth."
- Joseph Goebbels, Minister for Propaganda in Nazi Germany
Each of us forms our own 'reality'. To surrender one's own reality to the perceived reality of a mass of uninformed people is counter productive to our long range goals. If the technique of constant repetition works so well for the lie, just think how well it works for the truth when you have reason on your side of the argument. In our case the reason is, a firmly held, patriotic belief in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The American people at large have to hear it over and over and over again until they realize that they are in danger of throwing their freedom away along with those documents. Dumbing down any argument to fit the reality the masses may be experiencing only serves to enforce their view of that reality. The very fact that Americans for the first time 'seem' willing to accept the notion that killing other people without the right of due process demonstrates the urgent need to speak the higher truth always. Our guys deaths are no more important than the death of any other person innocently caught up in this mess. Not to the dead and not to their friends and families. To deny that reality is to further erode the principles the Constitution and Bill of Rights stand for, IMHO!
"If you repeat the truth often enough, the lies are seen for the lies they are."
- ParanoidPat, Navel Observer in Fascist America
Point 2, As far as your statement "fomenting arguments and suspicions over such minutia" is concerned. Not an argument, a discussion. You have your opinion, I have mine. I've stated some things people might want to think about. Nothing more, nothing less. The only real problem I have with you at this point is your use of the word "minutia", whether consciously or unconsciously. It sent a chill up my back when I thought about the subject of your usage of the word. :scared:
Wow look, that navel lint looks like GW! Only smarter! :wow:

7. True, but that should be a footnote |
|
The sheeple and swing voters in this country only give a frick about America. They are America-centric, nothing else matters.
Our soldiers died should be in boldace.
Adding the bit about the innocent lives massacred only twists the political dagger that much further.
And in micro-print, adding "Makes Bush look like twice the terrorist" would do our anti-Bush egos a bit of a boost as well.
