Don't Think Of An Elephant! everyone READ THIS BOOK

for those of you who haven't read or heard of this book, it should be required reading for every single one of you.

George Lakoff's "Don't Think Of An Elephant! Know Your Values and Frame The Debate" calls itself "the essential guide for progressives."

i just started reading it yesterday and just finished it earlier this evening. i'm going to keep reading it until i have it memorized.

we defeat ourselves when we call bush a fascist. we defeat ourselves when we call them stupid. we defeat ourselves when we think all we need are the facts.

if anyone knows the power of language, it is lakoff.

so buy this book, it's only 10 bucks, then when you're done give it to a friend, then buy another copy for another friend, and so on and so on and so on until every progressive minded person in this country has read it at least twice.
