My assessment of Afghanistan/Iraq

In Afghanistan, which had an Extremist religious government, terrorism flourished, and Osama and his ilk were able to plan to attack the us, and carried out that attack. We invaded Afghanistan to rid it of the extremist government that sponsered al-queda. They recently had elections that would make them a more secular government.

We invaded Iraq to get rid of a secular government that supposedly had WMD's and sponsored "terra". Since no WMD's were discovered, and the Al-Queda connection was weak to limp at best, we invaded to get rid of a dictator and spread freedom. So, they had "free" elections, during which the candidates represented Shi'ites, Sunnis, and the Bush guy. The Shi'ite party won. So, they had an elections to vote for a religious party. This was supposed to "rid" Iraq of terra.

We have created another Afghanistan.
