Something more must be coming on the "Gannon" fraud. |
|
MSM (national meida NBC) picked up on the story tonight. Now you and I know that all the information has been out there for weeks and the MSM wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. However, Hardball, NBC and a few others are talking about it now. I believe they are doing this because something else is about to break and the MSM doesn't want to be accused of NOT covering the story just to protect the President.
What do you DUers think?

This has been brewing and I think the MSM & White House was hoping it would die a quick death. It did not.
I like what the news correspondent said on Hardball about Scott McCellan's wierd answer that everyone has alias. He said he did not know of any news correspondants that did.
Everyone is talking about the security aspect of this as well.

3. The corporate media are just playing catch up |
|
because Jon Stewart made a little funny at their expense.
They will continue to be shamed into coverage from this point forward. Unless its on issues of such dire national importance as Michael Jackson.

4. I think they've spent the last two weeks furiously investigating.. |
|
Dems! They will look for a Dem politico/newsman/celebrity that has something similar to or as outrageous as Gannon's background. They will then play the tit-for-tat-they-all-do-it moral standoff card...and the whole thing will recede into media oblivion.

at how the Bush Administration has trivialized their positions by having some dumbfuck with no media background get such a prestigious position with the White House press corps, compared to all of the hoops the rest of those clowns had to jump through to get theirs.

8. You gotta wonder why they are suddenly paying attention. |

I'd like to think that bloggers are finally finding some clout, and that MSM had to at least mention it since its such a hot item in bloggerland. Of course if that's the case, it means that we remain diligent because the right-wing bloggers will expect equal time (equal to them being around 85%) and they will get it in spite of a liberal-biased media (sarcasm==>off).
I hope your hunch in right that something big is about to break and the MSM doesn't want to be, ahem, caught with their pants down.

18. Bill Maher's new season opens tomorrow night |
|
and he has Robin Williams, Sen. Biden, and Tommy Thompson on board. If there is anything Maher hates, it's hypocrisy, so with any luck, he and Robin Williams will be all over this one tomorrow night.
