"Gannon" Scandal leads to link between high-level Repubs, high-level Dems
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 01:36 AM by raysr
"Over the weekend, while pursuing information that might lead to uncovering connections between the Bush White House and the ’non-reporter’ Jeff Gannon, aka James Guckert, a blogger may have stumbled onto information that could begin to uncover a possible alliance between the Republican and Democratic leadership.

On Saturday, Feb. 12, a blogger, going by the screen-name "Do You Ever Wonder", posted the first of his discoveries as a thread on Democratic Underground.com."

6. So, an idiot thinks Kerry would risk health and sanity AND, ABOVE ALL
trash his own ambition in order to be a stooge? For BushCo???????

And you all rush right out and buy it?

This was Kerry's last crack at the presidency AND YOU THINK HE DELIBERATELY THREW THE ELECTION?????????????? Come back when you learn anything about human nature.

10. Yes. He did.
And I'm not particularly interested in hearing his excuses. Even though I expect it was just shock. But, honey, you know nothing about actual human beings if you think he wasn't planning on being President. Absolutely nothing.

12. Hey Gang, I was WRONG about the POWELL connection
It turns out that there is more than one RICHARD POWELL. There are at least two if not three Richard Powell's and I still have not been able to totally sort out which one is which.

Here's what I know so far.

Richard Powell of GOPUSA is Richard M. Powell. This Powell was a 'policy' adviser to Governor Rick Perry of Texas. This in itself is an important connection to the GOP, especially to the ones that might be closet gays.

However, Dina Powell who is Bush's Director of Personnel appears to be married to Richard C. Powell. This Powell may or may not be the same Richard Powell that works for Quinn Gillespie. So far I have not been able to find out much about the QG Powell.

However, in my bumbling detective work I stumble on the Quinn Gillespie connection to both the Bush Campaign and the Kerry Campaign. This is a completely different issue from the Gannon scandal and should be looked at separately for the serious issues that it raises. Why are both candidates using the SAME company to help run their campaigns. We are not talking just PR services or sign printing services or that sort of thing. We are talking ONE COMPANY that is very involved in setting policy for the parties as well as helping candidates get elected. There are some major conflicts of interest here. I stand by my comments that they are all in bed together, that the election was rigged and that Kerry was a part of the fix.

13. Why Don't You Get The Fact That Washington Isn't Fucking Segregated
Or should Democrats only use companies that exclude Republicans?

That bullshit guilt-by-association thread is evidence that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

And trying to link the fact that some companies include both Democratic and Republican ownership and staff to some assinine conspiracy against Kerry uses the same disturbed logic that paranoid schizophrenics use.

14. The fact is that ONE company
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 07:16 AM by DoYouEverWonder
had staff inside both campaigns. Plus this wasn't just any old company. The two principals are what is significant here. Ed Gillespie was not just some staffer, he went on a leave of absence to chair the RNC for the 2004 election. He has since returned to QG.

Jack Quinn was on Clinton's staff in the WH and was AL GORE's Chief of Staff. He left in early 2000, before the election to start Quinn Gillespie.

Now tell me again these people are not all in bed with each and they didn't help rig the 2000 and 2004 elections?

Besides, there are election and campaign finance laws involved here, not to mention ethics. For one company to have such major connections to both parties and for them to then place members of their staff inside both campaigns, is to say the least questionable and sets up a situation that is ripe for corruption.
