What if you are eligible for the $4,300 maximum (or even some other situational amount), but you haven't paid that much into the tax system? What amount would you get? As much as you've paid in?
(Hope this isn't a dumb question :-) )

You will need someone better than me to explain it, but I only had a couple hundred withheld this year and will get $4100 back.
I got back almost $3K last year, and the IRS did my return for me. I recommend making an appointment to let them do it for you. They will get you the best possible refund and they are very helpful, believe it or not!
