"I'll be home for a year and then probably sent to Iran...." |
|
that's what a nephew of a co-worker said last week...
He's suppose to be home in the next couple of days, his plans are to get married and get his affairs in order in anticipation of being re-activated for Iran within a year....
according to co-worker -- this is the typical feeling among the troops currently serving in Iraq. Although there is some debate whether they will be sent to Iran or Syria -- the feeling is there just the same -- General "yee-haww" bush* is going to invade more countries.
meanwhile - my co-worker's husband, who supported bush*, voted for bush* ans swore that bush* was the greatest pResident since Reagan -- is now having "voters remorse".... My co-worker did not go into detail as to specifically what has caused her husband's "flip-flop" but did say her husband is bashing bush* worse than she ever did. He's removed his bumper stickers and other bush* signs from his truck -- including "sportmen support bush*" decals from the counter of his gun repair shop.
how many other's are out there that now suffer from "bush vote" remorse syndrome?

2. This may sound heartless |
|
but I can't really say that I have a whole lot of sympathy for anyone suffering from "Bush vote remorse syndrome". You had to have been living in a cave, (not to say that most Americans weren't), to not have had some idea of what would be the result of a second Bush term.
People had four years to see what he was up to, and ample opportunity to inform themselves, yet they voted for him anyway. If they end up suffering consequences, even the most severe ones, it's really just what they voluntarily chose for themselves.

3. Yes indeed - these "remorseful bush voters" |
|
purchased this particluar crock of shit - now they can wallow in it. They chose to be uninformed and deluded - tough cookies. The problem is they've dragged the rest of the country (and world) with them.
If they're REALLY sorry, they can get out and work to get big Democratic majorities in both Houses of Congress in 2006 - just to put a spike in Junior's plans for at least his last two years. But then again, I don't think they'll be THAT repentant.......
