Dualing Headlines: Not Planning to Attack Iran / No plans for Iraq attack |
|
Today I saw the headline: Bush: U.S. Not Planning to Attack Iran http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/02/18/national/w233034S72.DTLhad a memory flash, did a little homework and found this little tidbit from May 2002: No plans for Iraq attack, says Bush http://archives.tcm.ie/irishexaminer/2002/05/24/story29077.aspHmmmmmmm...............

When I heard Condi and then Bush saying there's no attack planned I thought I remembered the same crap being said a year or so before the Iraq war started.
That would put us on schedule for an attack on Iran at the end of this year or beginning of 2006.
Good find!

7. The Iran/Syria war will come after the midterm elections |

and you can bet there will be a "with us or against us" vote in congress leading up to the war, just like the "authorization" vote in October 2002. It will come right before the election so their candidate can paint anyone who dares vote against it as "anti-american". It's so damn transaprent, but it still works.

"Asked what it would take to mend relations with French President Jacques Chirac, one of his toughest critics, Bush said: "Obviously nice words are nice, but deeds are more important than words. I personally don't feel bitter."
I hope he doesn't mean Chirac was wrong and he needs to make it up to us.

6. BushCo doesn't know what a plan is |
|
Remember Condi saying there was no plan to deal with Al-Qaeda when they got into office? Just a list of "actionable items" on a piece of paper. :eyes:
That's all they have with Iran, too.
