4. You betcha it is and it comes from different agencies |
|
like Health and Human Services or the Department of Education so it's harder to track, but it comes out of our Treasury all right. I can't believe Congress isn't demanding an investigation, but I guess they are only concerned about blow jobs in the Oval Office.

9. They do not really care about the blow jobs either |
|
Their main concern is Democrats in the Oval Office. If that happens, they call the Terminex man - an independent prosecutor - to find something, anything, they can use to get rid of that terrible infestation. They throw the kitchen sink at the abomination that causes desolation (otherwise known as a Democratic President (I almost said "Liberal" but that is just a smear word and it hardly fits Mr. Nafta, welfare-reform, deficit reducing, Clinton)) and see what sticks. Because it is not about the blow jobs, it is about lying under oath, um, his marriage vows, um, lying to the public, um, having sex at work, um, ... for god's sake what action to I have to pretend to be outraged about in order for you to hate this guy! The Right-wing is master of the sliding rationale.

6. It's the most partisan politicized pResiduncy in history, I believe. |
|
Fully 2/3rds of Smirk's activities in 2001-2004 were overtly-staged partisan political events. The backdrops, the hand-selected and filtered audiences, the paid shills in the audience ... more corrupt than a 19th century snake-oil roadshow. The untold MILLIONS of taxpayer (and consumer!) dollars that got sucked up was abominable. And it continues, not under the rationalization of electioneering but under the rationale of 'reform' of Social Security.
While Social Security is under assault, the stormtroopers of corporatist greed and predation are steadily dismantling all manner of public protections, from class-action suits to malpractice suits to tort "reform". It should be realized that state courts aren't as subject to the corrupting of federal laws and regulations - thus, moving class actions to federal courts isn't the last step. They'll never be "done" - watch for the low-profile dismantling of anything that affords the individual an opportunity to defend against corporate predation.

7. In the case of Armstrong Williams, yes, that is tax money |
|
he got.
$240,000 which he isn't giving back.

8. My understanding is that the GAO uncovered the fee paid |
|
to Armstrong and raised the alarm, but no one is making anyone accountable for it. It seems to be something else to be swept under the rug in the hopes it will disappear from public scrutiny.
