Veterans denied permit to Pray for Peace at Riverside Ca., VA cemetary
The Bush administration has denied Veterans for Peace the right to hold a prayerful ceremony for peace and to honor the US dead in the Iraq war at the Riverside National Cemetery in California.

3. The article from the Guardian
was excellent. I'm glad that the foreign press is 'getting it' even if ours is not. I found the contact email

letters@guardian.co.uk

I wrote to them, maybe they will read it and maybe they won't but it just may be that the foreign press can perhaps be far more candid and realistic in their assessment of what is happening here and maybe, hopefully expose our media. We need whatever help we can get.

Here is what I wrote:

Thank you for your article, " The mole, the US media and a White House coup".
It's about time someone started to notice what has been happening across the pond. Those of us that are interested in finding out what is really happening in the world read your publication and other foreign sources because we have been aware for some time now that what is published here in the United States in print and on tv is not just misleading but incomplete. The problem is not just the propagandizing of the news media and the control of our administration but also the facts that we do not receive. It's the news that is not reported here that is just as dangerous as what is heard. Important stories are withheld or placed well inside the paper, not reported at all on tv news or not fully discussed. Interviewers do not ask the questions needed and those interviewed are not permitted to speak fully if they are even allowed on a program. Democracy cannot flourish without the facts needed to make informed decisions.

Sincerely,
