Because America is Exceptionally Good...It Cannot Use It's Power for Evil
Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 11:44 PM by KoKo01
(Is this what WE believe? It's what George Bush Believes and his followers or shall I say Promoters)

The American belief in a divine commission goes back to its religious origins in the 17th century, and is not open to logical refutation. Even secular interpretations of American destiny assert a moral claim, expressed thus in the 19th century: 'The United States has achieved the highest possible form of political system and that this great system can be extended to the rest of humanity ... Because America is exceptionally good, it both deserves to be exceptionally powerful and by nature cannot use its power for evil ends.'

Why Bush will fail in Europe

The President has an enormous political gulf to bridge. The trouble is, he doesn't even know it's there

William Pfaff
Sunday February 20, 2005
The Observer

President George W Bush arrives in Europe this week in the belief that the European Nato allies can be persuaded to 'turn away from the disagreements of the past' and open 'a new chapter' in transatlantic relations, as Condoleezza Rice, on her European trip, advised them to do. He is likely to go home without the concessions he wants.

1. Could this be a wakeup call?
Maybe he doesn't know that his evil is easily sniffed out? I don't understand why our zombie army here in at home hasn't realized he's a rampaging lunatic.

2. A bald attempt at getting Europe to voluntarily bow
to neocon America's "new and improved" Manifest Destiny of global theft of natural resources under the guise of spreading democracy.

This is their last chance to get into the big red, white and blue fanclub and maybe get a few crumbs and honorable mention in some meaningless context. Cost of admission is the blood of their kids that they won't agree to send off to malicious, gratuitous wars so Amercans can get fatter, more arrogant and threatening. They're hip to the chimps shit, no doubt. But hey, there's always Poland and Romania!

Check out the historical precidents. http://odur.let.rug.nl/~usa/E/manifest/manif1.htm

4. ::grins:: One thing they seem to have forgot
EVERYBODY thinks this about themselves! Nobody sees themselves as the "bad guy" no matter how twisted and evil they are. Either they see their evils as means to a good end, as innocent pleasures that people of their stature should be allowed to indulge in, or they don't see their evils at all.

Hitler considered himself the good guy. 9/11 was a faith based initiative. As much as we like to see our enemies as Snidely Whiplash style villians cackling "Muahahahahaha!" at the first opportunity, that just doesn't happen.
