Kuma War: The Propaganda VideoGame of the Neo-cons
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 01:29 PM by Stop_the_War
This game is sickening. I can't believe people can be so weird as to make such propaganda. Believe it or not, this is a real video game. Here are some pictures:

1. It is really sickening
All the Tom Clancy video games have this really disgusting nationalist fervor to them now (post-911). Ever hear of the game "Freedom Fighters", where Soviets invade the US and its up to you to save the good ol' USA from the evil Russian communists (*sounds of me throwing up*). You can see this trend in a ton of video games, as well as tons of other industries.

2. Who needs the game? These Repukes could live it
if only they weren't pathetic cowards.

3. How exactly is this new?
How many WWII video games have been out for decades? There are Civil War games, WWWI, WWII as well as many fictious wars where you can fight any number of actual countries including the U.S.

5. the fact that it's about a current war
the difference screams out to me, being about a current war vs. being about a historical one.

7. Being a video game geek for a while I am use to this... It really
is not anything new. The Clancy video games have been about current events from the start. I certainly understand why you see it as distasteful but its not a "neo-con" thing. It is capitalism at its worst....

6. I'd be interested in the game's logic
I wonder, for example, if you're rewarded for razing cities.

Or I wonder if there's any "blowback" programmed into the game.

I also wonder if al Qaeda will be publishing their version of this game.
