23. How do you know he isn't drinking Progressive coffee? |
|
You know the expensive kind where they pay people who harvest it enough to survive and such?
My brain is not remembering the real title, but the coffee shop across the street from me where I go sells it.
Don't tell me to give up caffeine! How else could I blog all night and work all day?!

Starbucks is all we got. On top of that, it's not even a full-fledged Starbucks; it's a subsection of the Safeway. How pathetic is that?!

what right do I have to tell you not to do things just coz they piss me off? None of my business.
I used to shoot a helluva lot, I fish 30-40 times a year and I live in deer hunting country. Latter is essential to support our fragile rural economy.
I'm a left of centre liberal on most issues but I'm wary of banning things just because a majority of people don't agree with them...the "Tyranny of the majority". (Alexis de Tocqueville)

All I said was "Should I? I owe it to myself"
The I'd say"Nah,too expensive,you dont drive enough"
And then I'd repeat the same things over and over.
p.s.---No gun rack, thank you very much!

22. Maybe you are evolving into a better person. |
|
Most of us have little bits and pieces that aren't 100% liberal, but I think we can all learn to be more progressive and making changes that benefit the planet make sense when you know more about how badly we are treating it.
I also think not all of the traditional values are bad. Let people live their lives the way they want to and such, but the way the Bushits are pushing every part of fundie religion down our throats makes that an unpalitable stance even to myself.
Why don't you call yourself a moderate and see where it takes you?
Welcome to DU.

33. My Parents were Fundamentalist Evangelical Christian FDR worshiping Dems |
|
My parents had a unique perspective.
They were Fundamentalist Evangelical Christians who were RABID Democrats worshiped FDR.
They grew up in a rural community during the Great Depression, and so they had all the "Red State" values and lifestyles...BUT they lived thru the Depression and saw what FDR did for masses of destitute people, hence they were lifelong Democrats.
They told me that the two greatest things to happen to the human race were the New Testament and the New Deal.
