What if Bin Laden is still working for the CIA? |
|
The CIA created him and set him off into Afghanistan to make life rough for the Russians and to get the Taliban into power.
What if bin Laden continues to be a neo-con lackey?
What would help Bush's case for billions more for Halliburton than a video that has bin laden alive and well - and making threats to turn Iraq into a US graveyard?
Nothing would help the bushes more than that.
Every day is Easter for the neo-cons.

chimp outta the meat grinder whenever he gets into trouble. Not to mention the many times we could've caught him and didn't.

6. You know what's even stranger |
|
Does anyone ever recall Bush ever mentioning the name "Osama Bin Laden"? After the 9/11 disaster, I know they quickly pinned the act on Al-Quaida. I believe he made speeches about them but has he ever publicly come out and placed the blame on Bin Laden? Or Saudi Arabia, for that matter? Who exactly was blamed for 9/11?
This seems a little strange. Or is it just my imagination? I just don't recall ever hearing Bush say his name, or accuse anyone other than the Al-Quaida.
Thanks.

12. Actually, he did mention bin Laden by name |
|
I remember on the night of Sept 11, 2001, or soon after, he did mention the name of Osama bin Laden as being responsible.
And bin Laden was on the forefront until GWB found a way to work Saddam Hussien into all of this.
Probably because his game plan was too inept to actually find bin Laden?

9. Clinton & Gore both "thought Bin Laden" the second WTC was hit |
|
Both had made that point in interviews just after 9/11. Bush said his first thought was "wow, what terrible pilots" - true story.
But what did Bush really think when he was reading those children's books in FLA? And why did it take hours to scramble jets in DC on 9/11 but it only took the USAF 21 minutes to tail doomed golfer Payne Stewart's private jet after it's mishap several years ago?
Bin Laden - dead or alive? His he more valueable to Bush dead or alive (or least mythically alive)?
Let's say we killed all the leaders (Bin Laden, Saddam, the whole deck of 55 playing cards)? Then what does * do for an encore? What villian can he rely on to keep us in check / in fear?

14. And - just watched 60 minutes - get this: |
|
Had to force myself to watch it. It was about the president at the time of america's greatest crisis.
Card and someone else and bush confirmed that they had al queda on the radar to deal with it. There was even a big report due to hit bush's desk on sept 10 or the 11th. CBS called this the the greatest intelligence blunder ever - that the white house didn't get to al queda before they got to us.
My recollection was that the bush admin ignored Clinton's transfer memos and warnings about al queda as a matter of course.
This is what I liked about the CBS 60 Minutes:
1. They referred to bush as 'Mr." Bush throughout; and
2. the bulk of the hour-long report was spent pumping bush for what he knew when, and what he was thinking, and how he came up with all of his 'policy' decisions.
Seemed like awfully good exposition material to impeach bush's word later.
