What Gannongate needs now is "boots on the ground"...
IMHO of course.

Incredible amounts of information have been unearthed so far. There are still many questions as to who Gannon/Guckert actually is. In "real life" as opposed to online life, these questions would be delved into by sending an investigator to interview people who may have information. This would include neighbors, former and current (Delaware & DC; old city directories and white pages available at libraries) former coworkers (auto painting business) miltary contacts (FOIA?) associates and friends (fraternity, gay bars in DC and Delaware)

Plan of action:

Delaware and DC DUers could sign up to do "boots on the ground" research. Perhaps gay DUers could help to shake loose information in the gay community at bars and salons.

Lawyer DUers may be able to offer resources, especially lawyers who have done criminal representations. Ditto of prosecuters and former law enforcement who may be involved in private investigation.

1. Actually ...
not a bad idea.....

There are a lot of unknowns about this guy and I have suspicions that he may have a history in the GOP "dirty tricks" office.....

It would explain why he was accepted with open arms into the GOPs inner circles.

2. Basic Grunt Research
Tis a noble calling. Thanks for getting real with this Rosebud. It could make another big wave washing into the badly listing Ship of State: the SS ChimPee

4. Should we recruit Delaware and DC DUers or try to get professionals
involved? Some stuff is easy. Visiting a library and searching through all the old phone books for addresses and phone numbers. There are also city directories, one of which is called Haynes Criss Cross and Williams City Directories, at least where I live. One was only listed addresses and phone numbers, the other hired people to visit homes and partment buildings and would write down names on mail boxes.

Does anyone know what city in Delaware, Guckert lived before moving to DC? What year did he move? That would narrow down what years to view in phone books and city directories. A librarian may conduct the search if asked by phone. My local library will.

Anyone remember who the DU lawyers were, who posted their views on the Moss vs. Bush lawsuit?

3. agree....
But how can the info be kept private from those other "eyes?" There needs to be a secure place to share whatever is found. If you post this in the Delaware Forum...you might get some help with the "boots on the ground."

There's so much we don't know about him. Do we even know if Guckert is his real name? I've been hoping there was someone out there in the Print Media who would be checking this out. An enterprising reporter in Delaware, maybe?

5. I don't think we can hold our breath waiting...
for an enterprising reporter. Editors decide what gets investigated.

The Cincinnati Enquirer did not continue to investigate the Warren County phony terror alert lock down after confirming that Homeland Security and the FBI had not talked to anyone in Warren County.

7. Yep.
Actually, remarkably little is known about Gannon. We know what articles he "wrote." And we know what he posted about himself on the web. But this morning, there was more background information on a suspect in a kidnapping/murder case in Texas, than there is known about Gannon. The fact that the media can find out more in 90 minutes about a nobody in Texas than they can about Gannon is telling.

8. They are not trying, we need lawyers, former law enforcement...
and nosy people who like to chat people up (bars, hair salons) sit in cars watching ingress and egress from certain buildings.

If I was in DC or Delaware I would so be doing this. I would also be using feminine wiles on flirtatous cops...

Law enforcement has so many resources.

15. Wilmington Delaware library contact info here
http://www.wilmlib.org/

They have an Ask A Librarian reference question link. They might be willing to search the old phone books and city directories for old addresses and phone numbers. Once you have that info a Wilmington DE DUer would have a place to start snooping, I mean looking.

I would but I am at work, and need to quit fooling around.

17. Good post. Is Guckert even his real name? Where was he born,
where did he grow up, go to high school etc. What was his resume before hotmilitarystud.com and Talon.

Basic stuff. Presumably the WH knows his real name and all of this info.

18. The ordinary people are going to have to be the Woodward &...
Bernstein. There are associates of Gannon's who know things. He strikes me as a braggart. His one night stands may have insight. We need someone who can go undercover in Delaware & DC.
