Who, if they blabbed, could bring down the Bush Administration?
I'd be curious who would be on your list. My criteria would be Bush confidants with enough "gravitas" where if they decided to "confess" they themselves could ruin the 2nd Term of George W. Bush.

My list would include:
1. Family Members (Laura, Parents, Brothers). But that might be true of almost any political family.
2. Karl Rove (Knows all the Bush's political shenanigans)
3. Alberto Gonzales (He knows his legal secrets, DUI, Death Penalty etc)
4. Condi Rice (Knows what they truly did and didn't do in regards to WMD, 9/11, Iraq)
5. Dick Cheney - Duh

1. There has to be dozens of others who know enough to bring
him down. But, the administration is skilled at keeping secrets.
There are consequences.

5. I wonder if he'll have a book out this year?
Haven't seen a peep from him in the past 2 weeks or so.

8. I agree. He WAS respected by both parties.
If he blew the whistle on this administration, he would not only regain some respect, but bring the cabal down.

OR Karl Rove could. THAT will never happen.

12. Powell first compromised his integrity in Vietnam ...
I wouldn't hold my breath for him coming clean in any way, shape or form. But yeah, he did look distinguished in his uniform.

4. None would live long enough to have much impact.
Anybody who gets in the way is "removed."

7. That's why I used "gravitas"
Someone so high up that they'd have real impact and couldn't be squashed with the RW hit machine.

6. Mary Cheney
Who knows, one day she might be tired of being a sell-out to her own people - but I doubt it.

10. Nobody!
According to the fundies and many deluded (FOX media pickled) Right Wing Conservatives, EVERYTHING Georgie does is *good* or *ultra-good*.
After all, he's born again, selected by GOD and is doing His work by bringing Freedom to the Middle East.

Remember Patriots!

Dissent = Treason
Diplomacy = Appeasement
Freedom = Slavery
Corporations = God's Disciples

etc. You know the drill. The Corporate media is now completely controlled and FOX leads them with the scooped "talking points" (press releases from the WH).

What's wrong with you criminal leftists commie liberal elitist DEMOCRATS!?! Stand in line - Your hero Dan Rather had been fully humiliated. If he can march to our orders - You WILL too. Or else!

/sarcasm off

Honestly, I do not see ANYONE bringing this man down. His power is all but absolute. The best we can do is clean up the Election protocol and ensure paper trails on voting machines.

I've worked as a receptionist and a secretary and believe me these positions are full of people who know more than they realize. Remember when Starr subpeoned Bettie Currie concerning contacts with Monica?

Clinton Secretary Caught Between Loyalty, Law

They type. They screen phone calls. They play traffic cop. They decide which gifts get through to the boss. They make small talk with historic figures and celebrities. But, above all else, presidential secretaries do one thing and they do it extraordinarily well:

They keep mum. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/secretary021898.htm

16. The big fish are too complicit
the plots too intentionally sideways and murky or incredibly so open that no one can suddenly act shocked and outraged. Small fry could only succeed by doing what the Bush tapes guy has done. Provide video and more tapes or REALLY honest unfiltered Bushco.

The Secret Service would probably arrest the whole gang on the spot if real evidence exposed the central horror. Mere Testimony from God Himself couldn't cut it in the present system. Evidence, evidence and the will to find and use it.

I can guess which conversations I would like to have and not Bush clumsily trying to make himself look good to a disgruntled sympathizer.
Discussions of vote fraud and election fiixing with brother Jeb and Rove.
Conversations with Saudis about terrorism pre-911. Planning for the iraq war.

We already have glaring statements about Social security and Bush's ultimate plans and only the pleasant hype reached the public mind.

Maybe a repuslsive sex scandal would wake up the loons who believe all the hypocrisy. If that is what it takes to start getting people to listen fine, but it must not stop there at all.

What a hoot that would be. "Folks, gotta tell you. My son is nuts and he's destroying this country. Time to impeach him so we can send him to his room for the rest of his natural born life."
