Will 60 Minutes do a segment on Gannon? |
|
The way Leslie Stall sounded on Bill Maher I got the impression they were on top of this. What about the late shows? Have they done ANYTHING on Gannon? I would think Jay Lenno would be cracking jokes right and left.

until he 'outs' the scam that was pulled on him, and vindicates himself.
I would bet an organic, whole-wheat, honey-dipped doughnut on it.

4. Things you can and can't do: |

Here's the rub. An acknowledged gay-prostitute-Republican-Party-Hack posing as a journalist has been operating out of the White House, using that bully pulpit for purposes of propaganda. These are facts, right?
Why is this barely finding traction in the MSM? And virtually none (if we are to believe other posts here) in the local presses?
Leslie Stahl's answer to Bill Maher Friday night was, I thought, very revealing and nuanced. She never acknowledged Maher's comments about Gannon/Guckert being a gay prostitute, though never refuted them either.
The only point she wanted to make was how access to the press briefings could be had by an individual so obviously not in the press.
Conclusion I hastily drew from this - Unlike White-water, which twisted itself inside-out and then back-wards and then all over again until it had finally metastasized into something else altogether, that is to say, it had a truly preposterously long shelf life - this (much juicier, and much more relevant (in terms of what a democracy is truly about)) scandal is going to come and go.
It will only be argued in terms of "How'd he do that?", and like the Plame affair, will never get up and run as it should.
It's heart-breaking.
