Clinton, Bush show differing styles on tsunami tour |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-22-05 05:11 PM by lancdem
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050222/ap_on_re_as/tsunami_presidents_1It's a pretty good article. This paragraph had me LOL: At one stop in Sri Lanka, Bush was silent and seemed to lose interest as Clinton dominated a conversation about water purification equipment on display near the rubble of destroyed homes.

2. Poppy impatient to "get on with the schedule" |
|
'The elder Bush, in contrast, was usually low-key and reserved, and willing to get on with the schedule. At one stop he talked about the need for schools and "things like that."'

Yep. Even Clinton five months removed from quadruple bypass surgery is super engaged.

12. could it be that Bush is a bottom? |
|
It would kind of gel with everthing else we know about him...his passive nature showing through across the board.

6. Loved it, although I question the Clinton comment: |
|
"No doubt, the fare was not on Clinton's post-surgery diet. But he enjoyed a sip of coffee at a beach bar in the Maldives. "I love this coffee," he said. "This coffee would raise the dead." "
Not trying to nit pick, and I am sure it was not intentional, but seems a bit inappropriate given the circumstances...

10. And if he were still President, |
