Parked Ford Truck Explodes In Orange County Driveway

A parked Ford F-250 truck was destroyed in an Orange County, Fla., driveway after it mysteriously ignited in a similar fashion to the trucks Ford recalled last month, according to a Local 6 News report.

Truck owner Thonh Thach was in his yard Monday when a neighbor told him his 1999 pickup was on fire.

"I go to the water hose and the neighbor came to get a water hose and helped me out but it kept burning," Thach said. "The vehicle's parked, the engine was off, and basically you have a fire."

"Mainly the fire's coming from the engine compartment more or less electrical in nature," state Fire Marshal Darry Lloyd said.
