So, Paul Celluci says the US
Edited on Thu Feb-24-05 11:41 PM by HEyHEY
Will fire missiles over our country wether we in Canada like it or not.

I say that's a declaration of war.

2. Yeah, the Norwegians are coming!
It'll be nice to stop dodging missiles on my drive to work.

SOmeone should mention to Paul,we don't have missiles incoming all the time because we don't say things like "We'll fire missiles over your country wether you like it or not."

3. Thank goodness
his term is up in March. He's been the worst ambassador we've ever had.

6. Can't you send him elsewhere for a while?
Tell him New England is being annexed and he's needed in New Guinea or something.

8. Well if I was the PM
I'd have sent him packing long time ago.

Even if it had to be on a fact-finding mission to Mongolia or somewhere. At least as a tourist somewhere, he wouldn't be annoying us.

I hope his replacement has more manners, that's for sure. :D

4. Duh! Like they were ever going to let the fucking things into US air
space. All the missiles from China, Iran, Korea, Russia, and anyone else who hates the USA will be flying over the Soviet Union, the Arctic, Canada & then the USA. That has always been the case. It has also always been the case that the missile would be downed somewhere between Russia and USA boarder. We know this. We also know that there was never a chance that Star Wars would create a magic bubble that would encase the fired Korean Missile and re-direct it to space. We always knew the missiles would be shot down over the arctic.

And if it hits Canadian territory and you shot it down - the Innu will sue your asses to high hell!! That is a desert up there - nothing washes away with a spring rain. Things don't wash away ever. And don't tell us that it could have been any other way because that is never what missile defense & Canada's involvement was ever going to be about.

WE ARE NOT STUPID! Why would we spend BILLIONS and ruin our great education system & health care so that we get hit by nuclear weapons not aimed at us? When we can spend nothing and have the same outcome?

to sue their pin stripes off their suits if they do it!!

P.S. the tabacco companies are facing trouble in Canadian Courts too

12. One thing for sure. If Heir Bush invades you won't be watching it on CNN
- no power in the Northeast or the West.

13. Well, he's a sneaky ass. I hope you guys can make your
politicians do what you want them to do. We seem to not be able to do that anymore.

14. We are universally frightened by what is going on in the US. Our
conservative columnists would love a conservative revolution but they can even see the big world pendulum a-swinging back (plus our conservatives are liberal in many of the things they want to protect like health care, etc.). Some are speaking out (except it is not called 'speaking out' here) - we still call it the news. So - nobody is impressed with the Monkey you have. We have a few freepers in Parliament and I don't know about them. But really 20% of the people here are very religious and most of them would be Catholic or protestant but not fundies or evangelicals so much. Though they are growing. The folk in Quebec just got rid of the Church control over their lives (40 years ago). They all have grandparents and aunts and uncles who came from families of 13 (and had a really hard go of it as a result). They are not going to be jumping 'back in' for more mindless observance any time soon.

We definitely have not been drinking the Kool-Aid. Everyone I know, of all ages, are just disgusted and feel very sorry for you. I think Paul Celluci should leave before someone throws a Tomato at him. On a very cold Ottawa day that could really do damage.
