Sad story here (Tulsa area), divorced parents fight over dead soldier
Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 11:27 PM by karlrschneider
where to bury or cremate him. Jason Hendrix was killed a week ago in Iraq and the father wants him to be buried here, his mom wants to have him cremated in California. He lived in both places...now the poor guy is dead and his divorced parents are in court each trying to get whatever's left of him in one place or the other. As if being killed for lies isn't bad enough, the conflict goes on. I don't even have words for this crap.

edit: sorry no link, it was just on KOTV and they have no link at
http://www.kotv.com yet as far as I can see...

1. The most difficult conversation I have ever had
was two nights ago, when my husband and I discussed where he wants to be buried if he doesn't make it back. We also talk a lot about what his wishes are for our daughter's future, too.

It is so sad that these people are going through this. Adding this conflict to their grief will be hard to overcome. :(

2. Maybe a liberal reporter should ask * that question at a press conference:
Mr. President, when you die, do you want to be buried or cremated and why? Wait for an answer. He should be required to think about it.
