Are there ANY Anti-Iraq war Democrat Leaders out there?

Kucinich? Kennedy? Pelosi? Reid? It seems a lot of them want us to get the troops out of there, but they also seem to support the idea of an Iraq war in itself. They seem to have 'exit strategies', including sending in MORE troops, as if that would help.

All I know is there are too damn many Democratic Leaders who support this stupid fucking slaughter going on in our names. Maybe they are afraid to be called 'cut and run' Democrats, like some are afraid to mention the word 'marijuana' in public, for fear of having to admit they'd smoked it. Maybe they're afraid to say 'bring our troops home', for fear of losing their cushy political careers.

Too damn many war supporters on 'our side'. Clinton, Lieberman, Biden, etc., can take their republican appeasement and support of nazism and shove it up their elected asses.

I listened to him last night on Free Speech TV when he read the riot act to the so-called peace movement. I agree with him. The anti-war folks had better get their acts together and take to the streets.

It`s time for a massive effort of emails, letters to editors, calls to representatives and protest marches. I was part of the anti-war movement during Vietnam and I can honestly say there`s no comparison between those efforts and the pussy-footing we`re doing now.

It takes a village to stop a war. The spineless apologists in Washington are going to do nothing. It`s up to us.

Millions of people march in the USA and worldwide in fierce opposition and NOBODY gives a shit. Yeah, its the anti-war movements failure to buy the oligarchy hearing aids.
Im sick to death of people blaming the left for its failure to remove Bush and the Bush agenda, claen up air and water pollution and free veal calves from their fate in factory farms.
If by no comparison you mean no bombings or building occupations by a generation of college students so apathetically ill educated that they dont even know recent history all I can say is congratulations to the fascists. they certainly know their stuff.

8. This Invasion Hasn't Hit Home Enough Yet

For most, this is still a television war. They're not feeling it directly...having themselves or a loved one dragged into it. People are still afraid to really speak out as they fear those reprocussions worse than what this regime is doing.

I can't tell you what it will take...a draft? 5,000 dead? 10,000 dead? How many unemployed or working poor will we need before people get tired of this regime's lying and arrogance and goes directly to Washington for answers.

I, too am from the Vietnam era...and, yes, there is a lot of pussy-footing now...we're not seeing a "March On Washington" like in '70 & '71 or a popular counter-culture press that bypassed a compromised corporate media. I keep thinking we're stuck somewhere in 1965...Tet is still to happen and the end is a long way off.

as one of the few, but I don't suppose he is considered to be "leadership" in the party.
I don't know where Dean stands on an exit strategy, but he certainly never supported the Iraq war/occupation.

It does make me sad that Kerry still isn't as harsh a critic as Kennedy on the war issue after what he's been through in Vietnam.

Were Kucinich and Dean. And Dennis is the only one who had to put his vote where his mouth was and received a lot of criticism for it. Since he was my candidate, I listened more closely to what he was saying, and he was saying, all along, that we needed to get out of Iraq. We needed to bring in peacekeepers and get our troops out. The Americans are just so vehemently hated there, that we can accomplish nothing. They are killing fellow Iraqis who are seen to have anything to do with the Americans.

As for Lieberman, did you see the wet one that Bush* planted on him after the SOTU? I knew that he was one candidate who I just could not support, since the others voted for the war, "to support the president." Lieberman was actually in favor of the war.:-(
