CSpan - 8 AM (day long) Forum on Black State of the Union |
|
Anyone watching? Supposedly in the morning they'll be addressing mostly healthcare.
Tavis Smiley has had this forum for 6 years (I think). He hold this during Black History month.

on CSPAN is NOT a typical representative. He says point blank the the Democratic Platform represents Evil and the Republican Platform represents Good if not GOD directly.
I can't believe that we've deteriorated in our discourse so far that it's OK to refer to the Democratic Party as EVIL.
Sick Sick Sick!
On edit: The guy's name is Jesse Lee Peterson ... I'm gonna have to Google on him.

3. No Peterson is a conservative |
|
Tavis usually had Mike Dyson and Cornell West on one of the panels. Maxine Waters sometimes attends.
Peterson sounds more like Ann Coulter than a Black American. Yeesh

8. I'm totally convinced Lamb is pro- repub |
|
and the evidence is abundant in the guests he chooses and the time slots they are given. He'll have strong republican voices as guests and then follow with weak and unfamiliar democrats. Look at last weeks schedule when Lamb had Coulter on followed up by Washington Post writer (whom I never heard of and can't recall his name) who wrote for the style section of the Post. He finally got his own column and he writes about Ray Charles, and a good portion of the hour revolved around Ray Charles. I've been watching C-span for over six years daily and I definitely notice the trend and the tone leaning right. I can't think of any reason to keep cable now.

4. I heard the platform/roundtable yesterday on Cspan |
|
and I just walked away from the TV in disgust after watching this so-called Reverend right now.
"Either you're for God or against God and the Republicans are for God, the democrats are against God"
what an ass, and who funds his organization? The heritage foundation. They're hosting their platform later today, I believe.
Nuff said.

5. I agree, I can't watch ... |
|
I'm going to go hug my family members and continue to volunteer whenever I can to help the poor. That's what IMHO God stands for ... loving your neighbor and helping the poor. Politics has no place in any TRUE and unbiased House of God.

9. A contract with Black America - Good or bad idea? |

I do think the Democratic Party does take the Black vote for granted at times.

10. It is an excellent idea. Not only do |
|
black folk need it but the working class needs one too. Hopefully, they would be very similar and demand from elected officials that they provide us with a system that addresses the needs and rights of the people, not just an elite few.

12. Starting with healthcare and educational opportunities |
|
If a person does not have access to healthcare and education their quality of life will be below standadrd. Then once an education is obtained there needs to be jobs available to folks.
