FoxNews actually had a segment tonight titled GannonGate
with a panel of commentators discussing how was Jeff Gannon allowed to get day passes into the White House press conferences. They were saying it had to come from someone high up in the administration. I forget the one commentator who was critisizing the softball questions Sarah McClenndan used to toss at Bill Clinton which disgusted me. Most were a little critical of Bush not a whole lot but it still surprised me. Did anybody else see it around 6:00 EST and could someone provide a trascript or a link to the video of it. :dem:

1. It was actually pretty good. Even Pinkerton said there should

be an investigation. I was glad Jane Hall and Neil Gabeler (sp?) called the host out on calling Gannon a journalist.

It was on Fox News Watch.

5. Yea I couldn't remember his name but it was Pinkerton he
was really good and the one female commentator was also good. Who was the Dickhead that kept bringing up how Clinton was more or less handled with kid gloves by the press during the phony Monica scandal.

2. They put a story up on their website the other day
Thursday or Friday, I'm not sure which. They acted as though it was breaking news, and they were right on top of it.

as a weekend dump and defense for when they go on trial as fascist propagandists? Although I guess we have to take what we can get from them. Maybe we should take their links for this and go post them in the right wing forums ?????

4. I suppose I should be thankful but...
I am SICK TO DEATH of EVERY FRIGGIN SCANDAL having an -GATE appended to it!!!!

Just imagine if we'd become as fixated on the Teapot Dome Scandal?

"Well, Dan, the GannonDome scandal is heating up!"

Gah...

10. Yeah sometimes I think '-gating' a scandal is psyops to trivialize it
Because there was one WATERGATE, so people become dismissive through overuse of of the suffix. over time that is. Any one else see my angle on it ?

13. Rupert Murdoch built a media empire on sensationalism so I can't
see his primary US outlet missing out on this potentially major scandal. I actually think Fox is less motivated by ideology than the fact that their agitated right wing schtick gets them more viewers in a media-saturated country. I could see Fox even leading on Gannongate if it gets them viewers.
