OK, during BTK killer press conf., the D.A. thanked her "Fighting Irish"
investigator guy. It sounded funny. I mean, would she have dared called the black cop/investigator who was up first, her "number one soul brother"? Actually, that would have been cool.

2. That was my first thought...if so, it sounds ok...

3. that whole press conference was aggravating, i watched it for an hour
and listened to them giving each other props, and then the last paragraph tells us the guys name! And I didn't even get to see that, cause CNN cut away to Andrea Koppel.

It was a big show.

I was interested, but not interested in watching an hour long love fest between state and federal agencies.

5. Saw it too. Yawnfest. But I can understand how giddy & cautious a small
city D.A might be after a yr. investigation. I also find it horrible that tyhe DA and the press have to keep using BTK moniker -- it just seems so sensational. Also, all that filler stock footage of BTK crime scenes was numbing. I cannot tell the difference anymore between TV programming (like coldcase files) and the news. Now I guess, its time for Larry King to do a 2 hour special.

9. True, I guess they were allowed to be happy, but I wanted the name
time, place where and when. And only got the name after an hour long press conference.

Larry King, Greta Van S., Geraldo, Dan Abrams, Aaron Brown, Paula Zahn, Anderson Cooper etc. will all have their specials on for the next week and we won't know if the world is coming to an end!

Good thing, I don't count on them for news!

10. The daughter turned the guy in.

So the DA & law enforcement didn't have anything to do with the capture that I could see. His daughter turned him in, they tested the DNA and took him down. If she hadn't turned him in, he still wouldn't be caught, right?

11. I heard that, one of the clues he sent was a computer
Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 01:59 PM by Riding this Donkey
disk and that his computer left a footprint of his computer on the diskett and the police were able to track that computer footprint back to rader by going through the computer manufacturers.

And then after that they got the daughter to give a dna sample.

That is what i heard, I think we will hear more.. this might be rumor or it might be true.

15. Correct.
The daughter was approached by police; she did not approach them, as was reported by some sources. The police did good work.

6. Yeah it's a little weird, but I guess you've got to give them points for
not simply finding a minority transient to hang it on, and calling it a day.

at being refered to that way; ND grad or otherwise. It is a compliment.I just don't see the slight , sorry.
