Have we finally "turned the corner" in Iraq with the capture of |
|
Saddam's half brother? Hahahaha
How many corners will we have to turn before someone realizes we've been going in circles?

2. We've turned every corner in that country at least twice and we're still |
|
at square one.
It's a joke to think that we're ever gonna win that mess. Now we have to look forward to the square off between the Shi'ites nomination for Allawi's job and Allawi himself, because that's the only thing keeping his ass alive. Oh yeah, and the Kurds who want it written into the new constitution that their corner of Iraq can make their own political decisions and make thier own policies and enjoy the revenue of the 'Kurdish' oil fields. Which will then piss off the Turks. And that clown Chalabi, who just will not fade into the sunset like a compliant and good little crook. And who knows what the hell al Sadr is going to do in the end. Especially if we stick Allawi back in 'power'. Oh yeah, and we're building the BIGGEST US military base in the world there. Which sure as shit ought to piss all of the above off.

8. If the media did it's job more citizens would share your well founded |
|
grasp of reality of Middle Eastern culture and politics.
"They hate freedom" seems to satisfy the intellect of mainstream America.
Since ignorance runs hand in hand with compliance, underfunding education and reducing the news media to sound bites and celebrity scandals will insure grass roots support for "The Titanic of all wars" for some time to come.
Or until there's a draft.

3. We have turn the corner so many times it is 360 degrees. |
|
Remember when the extra judicial killing of Qsay and Uday Hussein happen and the USA dissected their bodies and sent the porno of their mutilation all around the world.
That was the first turning of the corner.
Now years ago.

4. I didn't think we turned any corner when Saddam was captured |
|
I don't think this is going to make much difference, either.
Iraqis don't want foreign troops and war profiteers in Iraq and have different ways of expressing their displeasure. Some take up arms, some vote for slates of candidates who promise to demand a timetable for withdrawal and to repeal Bremer's decrees.
The capture of any former regime member, while a good thing in itself, won't change that.

11. . . . and I am sure that if it was asked on FoxNews . . . |
|
I am sure that if it was asked on FoxNews that it was asked in a way that there could be only one possible answer.
