Laura Flanders AAR to discuss if VT National Guard called up illegally.
Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 07:18 PM by madfloridian
Coming up. I had posted some things about this. I posted a WP article and chart, and most shrugged off the huge number of VTers called.

I hope that is what they are going to cover. I will find the chart, if true.

Just a heads up.

3. Thanks for posting this.
Many of us here in Vermont are concerned about the numbers of our National Guard troops called up. No matter where I go, I run into someone who has a loved one, a neighbor, a friend in Iraq.

4. From Vermont!
A number units were called up about 2 plus months ago. My landlord's son-in-law, several people that work for the USPS that I know and others. If my recollection is correct, there were about 13 to 16 some odd units which were activated. The mission of the local unit is to serve as MP's in Kuwait, on the border of Iraq to insure that the transportation units going back and forth between Kuwait via the supply routes to more centrally located areas of Iraq are protected and inspected for possible explosive materials and security of such operations. Many have received additional training required to change their MOS's (Military Occupational Skills).

There are other units which are being directly deployed to combat areas in Iraq as part of Armored reinforcement.

Its been a long weekend, and, a very good friend of mine has suffered a great deal of anguish. I have been attempting to provide for as much support as possible for her, and, I am really to exhausted to listen to Laura.

Yes! We have a disproportionate number of body bags and troops in that area!
