Leslie Moonves is a lily-livered pig.

1. Ditto.
No reason to watch once Dan goes.

4. I agree.
On top of that, our local news is getting more ridiculous by the day. Lately, they've been doing all kinds of stupid TV show tie-ins. So they'll have stories on "real life" crime scene investigators (CSI) and last night there was one about a "medium" who helps solve crimes. Absolutely fucking ridiculous.

5. And I thought the Propoganda news had gotten bad here
The last time I watched the local news in the town I'm in they were taling about how the 'lackluster' candidate Kerry was comming to town as well as how our 'brave' president had been comming here.

8. I don't watch it now
or any other corporate media station. Unless there's a good football game on. I certainly don't expect to get my news from any "mainstream" station, I gave up on that a long time ago.

10. Me neither--especially since I don't watch football
I can't remember the last time I watched a network news program. The only television news I watch is INN and Democracy Now!

9. Ditto....
Of course DU is my main source of news, but I liked Rather. When he's gone, I'm unplugging from the MSM, except for our local CBS out of Nashville.

11. There was something I saw in his "Reporter's Notebook the other night"
that got me to wondering about his bias toward Democrats (or maybe he always had one.)

He was covering the Kennedy assassination. He was the one that broke the news that Kennedy had died. Here was our Lancelot...our Galahad...cut down in his prime by, arguably, a right-wing conspiracy. I can imagine that would leave a lasting impression in someone to always be looking to root out the truth from secretive administrations.
