Does anyone else find it odd that such a small blue state be impacted so greatly by the Iraq War?

1. I'm a native Vermonter.

We've always been odd compared to the rest of the country.
My brother ships out Sunday.
My other brother might be next.
All of us joined the military after high school. I got out and stayed out, they decided to join the guards.
Maybe they are more patriotic than me, and look how the chimp rewards them for it.

2. I wouldn't be surprised if the Blue states are being called up

ahead of the Red. We already contribute more money than they do - why not people too?
