Finally Saw "The Village". Reminds me of the Bush Administration.
And the scary monsters are...Little Red Riding Hood on steroids?

Seriously, the whole setup reminds me of the Bush Administration. "We lie to you and isolate ourselves for y(our) own good. Terror Alert! Terror Alert! Boogey-man! Boo!" Old-timey-time values: good! Progress: BAD. Medical care? HA! And if we DO need to interact with the outside world (BAD), we'll send the blind one (Condi) to handle it. She's guaranteed to fall in a hole.

1. Not bad
Now that I think about it, that's quite apt.

I watched "Animal Farm" awhile ago and got about four-years' worth of the willies all at once.

2. Ever notice that the film Dances With Wolves was based on
"F Troop"?

3. That's it
Too many people hated this movie because they went expecting a horror film. This is clearly an allegory of the post-9/11 world.

4. True
If it hadn't been billed as a horror film, it probably would have done much better.

7. Expectations aside, it was a lousy movie.
Ron Howards daughter (blind Ivy in Village) is the worst actress ever to appear in a major motion picture bar NONE and I mean not even Pamela Anderson. Really.

Adrienne Brody did a good job,tho--saving only himself from total embarrassment.

OOOOH it was bad. This from a Symalaian fan. OUCH.

9. Director's daughters
I will admit that she is pretty bad. She is not as bad a Sofia Coppola in Godfather III. That was the worst performace ever. Now as a director....

5. I thought the same thing! Using fear to control, and if you don't
already have something scary enough, make it up!

Hello? WMDs, anyone?
