Why is the world more "peaceful" under "democracy"?
Bush says this repeatedly. What is it about democracy that makes all teh citizens more "peaceful" and not inclined to violence or anarchy? Is it because they get to pick their poison, as far as their choice of leaders, so they have nothing to argue about? Or is it the 'capitalist' side of democracy? Keep them so busy working to survive or otherwise propagandize them talk of greed and materialism that they are so busy trying to achieve one or the other, that they have no time to fight? What is your opinion to why people are more "peaceful" under democracy?

1. The United States averages 1 war every 20 years.
That's the mathematics of the situation.

2. Let's just substitute the word capitalism for democracy
a lot more honest.

3. Capitalism....
It enslaves us all with false hopes of fame and glory while simultaneously binding us to debt. Fighting is something we watch on TV or the big screen with people like Will Smith, Jackie Chan, etc. And they only reinforce this capitalistic notion that everybody can be a star, or at least rich, if only we work hard enough.

7. Talent and drive....like Rush Limbaugh...?
and corporate executives? and famous sports figures? and rock stars? and actors? and right-wing propagandists...etc? Yep, "talent and drive" should be the criteria to determine "success" and promote peace...Too bad if 50 million do not have any health insurance. Its the worst system in the world ...except for all the others....right? That's what we are told, anyway..

8. Hasn't it been capitalism that promotes corporatism?
If it weren't for our bastardized capitalism and beuracratic embracement of the monies it incurrs, we wouldn't have this warped since of reality of right and wrong, of individualism at it's worst.

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."
- Benito Mussolini

5. Is it? I see no evidence of that.
No country since Nazi Germany has been as warlike as the United States. We are constantly waging war. Ultraviolence is what this 'democracy' is all about.
